The Silos Guesthouse
Four suites on a working citrus farm, ten minutes from the park, surrounded by citrus trees and a great deal of quiet.
A citrus farm, and four suites in the middle of it
The Silos sits on an export citrus plantation on Rietfontein Road, ten minutes from Addo Elephant National Park. It is surrounded by citrus trees and set in a tranquil garden oasis. With just four suites, it is deliberately the smallest property we run.
The suites are cosy but spacious. Each one has a bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with shower, a lounge area and a private verandah of its own, so there is somewhere to sit that is not a shared space. Internet, a flat-screen TV, a bar fridge, tea and coffee and an electronic safe come as standard.
This is the property we point couples towards, and anyone who wants their safari days to end somewhere properly quiet. Guided game drives to Addo Elephant National Park and private reserves leave from here. These are shared drives, not exclusive vehicle bookings.
