Schotia Afternoon Safari & Bush Dinner
Eight hours with us from start to finish: a private reserve, a home-cooked dinner in the boma and a night drive home.
The Tooth & Claw safari
This is the trip for guests staying in Addo who want to be with us from start to finish. It begins with a short drive through Addo Elephant National Park and out to Schotia Private Game Reserve, and once you are on private land, the rules change.
Schotia holds species you will not find in Addo, the hippo among them. It is also where you are most likely to hear a male lion roaring from close by, which is the part guests tend to talk about afterwards. Partway through there is a break for coffee, tea and a slice of carrot cake.
Afterwards it is on to the Schotia Boma for a home-cooked South African dinner. Just when the day feels finished, the drive back to Addo doubles as a night drive, with a last chance to look for nocturnal life on the way home.
How the day runs
Departure shifts with the season. Your guide confirms collection when you book.
Collection from your stay

Into Schotia

Coffee, tea and carrot cake
A stop partway through the drive. Small thing, but it is the detail guests remember.

Dinner in the Schotia Boma
