Addo Full-Day Safari
Nine hours in the park, with a picnic lunch at Jack’s picnic site. The day for people who came for the elephants.
For elephant lovers
A full day in Addo Elephant National Park is the version of this trip we would book ourselves. Nine hours is enough to follow the herds as they roam rather than catching them in passing, and to watch the daily routines that a three-hour drive only hints at.
Along the way, there is plenty more to see: antelope, zebra, buffalo and, if the day goes your way, the elusive lion or rhino. Your guide reads the park on the day rather than running a fixed loop.
Midway through, we stop for a picnic-style lunch at Jack’s picnic site. Enjoy a break surrounded by the sights and sounds of the park before the afternoon safari.
How the day runs
The day is shaped by the gate times, the weather and what is being seen. Your guide confirms collection the evening before.
