Longhill Cheetah Safari
The only reserve in the immediate Addo area where you might see cheetah in their natural habitat.
The only cheetah reserve in the area
Longhill Game Reserve is the one place in the immediate Addo area that offers guests the chance to see cheetah in their natural habitat. That is the reason to book it, and it is why this drive exists alongside the national park trips rather than instead of them.
You go out with guides who know the reserve, working its different landscapes in search of an animal that is truly elusive: fast, elegant and never guaranteed. Longhill also holds elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, bontebok, springbok and Cape buffalo along the way.
It suits anyone who wants to learn something rather than tick off sightings. A good part of the three hours goes on telling apart species that look similar at a glance but are nothing alike once you know what to look for.
How the drive runs
Departures are arranged with the reserve rather than fixed, so times are confirmed when you book.
